I know this is nothing new but I really need to start promoting these kind of photo sessions. For his eyes only stuff. I had one of my very first brides married in May of 2004. She called me up and was thinking about doing some cool shots of her and her hubby. I thought it would be cool since my style has changed so much since then but she quickly decided she wanted to do a cool sexy photoshoot of just her and give her husband a black leather album filled with images of her being super sexy.

I love the way this turned out and I have found a new album that I love for this type of session. It is masculine and pretty small. 6x9 vertical book.

This year at Arlund we will be focusing a ton on seniors. It is my personal favorite subject. I loved that feeling of getting out of high school and getting ready for that next step. I want to make images that portray the senior as moving into adulthood, not hanging on to childhood.

MY friend, designer Justine Sylvie designed some hats. I really want to start submitting photo stories to fashion magazines. Until we can start pulling clothes that are not in the stores yet(actually we are doing that now) I will shoot local designer stuff.

The model, Nicole was so great. This day was really rushed and we just kind of threw the whole thing together last minute. I hope you enjoy it.

PHOTOGRAPHERS CORNER:
These were all lit with one flood light - (hot light) and mirrors. I used 2 mirrors reflected back at Nicole. Mathew Jordan Smith showed me this trick where he took electricians tape and covered the mirror except for one strip in the middle. Take that and highlight the models eyes. Pretty cool stuff.

Book Preview

The first wedding of the year for me. This was fun. Ashlea and Chris are an amazing couple that met online. Ashlea is a friend of a former bride, Mindy. We almost lost a veil in the pool but managed to get a killer shot despite the wind. What a great way to start wedding season. Thank you guys so much.

What a cool couple. I promised I would start blogging more. So I will start out with a image from this couple I shot a couple of days ago. Their wedding is going to be very unique and I can't wait to photograph this one. It is at a concert hall here in Nashville. Since I am terrible at actually writing I'll just let the images do that for me. He is one from their session. Chuckie
